How do you approach termite and radon inspections?

The short answer
The home inspection company I usually refer includes a termite inspection with the home inspection. Buyers are welcome to choose their own home inspector or hire a separate termite specialist. The same company also offers radon testing.
In almost 12 years in real estate, I have not personally seen a buyer order a radon test, so I do not describe it as a routine part of the transactions I handle. That is my experience; it does not establish the radon level in any particular home. Buyers can discuss additional testing with their inspector and choose a provider.
